ThE-Voice

ThE-Voice premiered as NextArt at the 2006 Florida Film Festival, then held its climatic ending at the event's conclusion. It centers around two participants, living an adventure of their own design. They are the protagonists in an 'alternate reality game' created spontaneously around them, and their respective stories eventually intersect, not realizing the other person is also a non-actor. Their happenings include courtroom drama, a fugitive from justice, government obstruction, and a last second interruption of a live television news broadcast to save the day.
"A once-in-a-lifetime, live multimedia event with spectators as characters in a story they help create. [iPLAY] is creating a new form of art and entertainment. Trained inter-actors from iPLAY create opportunities for spect-actors (spectator/actors) to live and play as the primary characters within a fictional story that is enhanced, captured and delivered using a broad spectrum of digital media." −Orlando Sentinel

Keith Wilson, Jr.

ThE-Voice  was an alternate reality game; a fully immersive, live, interactive story taking place over several days, utilizing the entire city of Orlando as its stage. However, it was created solely for an audience of two. For this, performances were as reflexive as improv, as dynamic as theatre, and as intimate as acting on film.

Additionally, the production was facilitated by digital media technology; filmed using hidden cameras, edited and delivered daily on the internet. It even incorporated "in game" websites and blogs in order to enhance the setting and story elements and allow more people to be a part of the experience.

As Keith Wilson, co-owner of Sligh Studios and bassist for real-life local-celeb singer Cory Yarkin, I took part in the immersion, creating fictional biographies on social media to expand upon the character and extend the virtual 'rabbit hole.' I even managed to book a band for the actual recording studio owner.
